Engineering Marvel

Brian and Michael were having a laugh send hotwheels down the banister and this sparked an idea for this engineering marvel! They sure had fun with this one. Hopefully you can see with the photos a hotwheel or two going down the ramp. Too funny :)

Holiday Photos

Christmas - Crosby Style

We forgot our camera through most of our holiday bashing unfortunately, but here is the kids on Christmas morning opening some of there gifts and some other fun photos. We also went to Great Grandpa Jack's in Sultan on Christmas Eve with my extended family (aunt, uncles, cousins). And then Christmas day, after our own family celebration, my immediate family (brothers, sisters, their kids, and mom and dad) all came and had Christmas Linner (or is that Dunch) at our house. A great holiday indeed! I think my favorite part was the traditional "Christmas program" we do each Christmas Eve with the extended family. Anyone who wants to sing a song, play an instrument, read a poem, read from the scriptures, etc. does so and it makes for a beautiful and memorable time. The performance that spoke to my soul the most was when my aunt and uncle and their 5 children acted out the journey of the wise men to the baby Jesus and read the account from the Bible. And at the end my aunt who was narrating invited us to think of what gift we would give the Christ Child if we were there at the time of His birth. I guess they do this each year as a family tradition and discuss together what they would each give Him each year. I appreciated that invitation. It's very difficult to focus on the Savior when there are so many presents to buy, decorations to put up, cards to send out. I think their family tradition is an inspiring one that helps one stop and remember, and worship. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a great New Year!!!

Girl with Many Hats

It's so different having a girl after the last couple of years worth of sword fights, WWF showdowns, and chasing games like, "Run! It's the scary bear!" with lots of screaming and running around the house :) Elizabeth on the other hand likes to try on shoes, talk on her toy cell phone, and wear hats as often as she can find them. And here she is with some of her many hats-

Tree Farm Adventure

We had so much fun at the tree farm! It's funny how everyone's idea of a perfect tree is so different. Thankfully though, Brian and I have a pretty similiar idea which one to claim as "the mother of all trees". Michael had fun running through the rows and pointing out all the different trees. "Baby tree, Mommy tree, Daddy tree, Michael tree". Very cute. We slayed one of the Daddy trees he pointed out and to Michael's absolute delight, he got to haul it back on the tractor. As you can see, he's actually driving! Watch out world! Our beautiful tree is up in the house now, and it only took an hour and a half to position it just right :) We'll decorate it tonight. Hurray for the Holidays!!!

Train Obsessed

This boy is truly obsessed with trains. Here he is sporting his Thomas the Train shirt.

Here is his daily ritual of building a train from his mega blocks. The little guy is supposed to be a truck driver, but for Michael's purposes he's the engineer. He gets put on as the final touch with a loud, "All Aboard!" from Michael.

When we color and draw pictures together one of his first request is, yup you guessed it, a train. This is one of our classic pictures just drawn today.
And the grand finally.....when I looked over at Michael during his lunch a couple days ago, this is what I found - he had taken his ham and cheese sandwich and turned it in to this lovely rendition of a train. Priceless.

Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam

Everytime Michael gets a hold of this statue of Jesus with the Little Children, he sings.

Michael's Room

Ka-chow! I had fun painting Michael's room. Every new section I got done, Michael would come in and say, "Wow". I painted the ceiling red too and that was the real back-breaker! But having the kids' rooms painted really makes our house feel like OUR home, ya know?

The Girls Room

Here's the girls' room. I did the princess theme in here. Took a lot longer than I thought due to the stripes on the bottom half. But I'm very pleased with how it turned out. Pretty, pretty princess....

Elizabeth Strikes a Pose

Whenever I get the camera out and ask Elizabeth to say "cheese" she gives me this face. What a doll!

Happy Halloween

The first few pictures are of us at the Pumpkin Patch in Smokey Point. We sure had fun there! Michael was all about the train! He's been talking about it for days. Of course the fire truck and the tractor were big hits with him too. For Halloween Elizabeth was the cutest spider I ever did see! She even won "best costume" at the ward Halloween party. Michael was a train - shock surprise! He picked it out and everything. What a fun holiday! And Brian's pumpkin incase you were wondering - THE FIRST VISION. Just a little sample of his artistic side =) Hope you all had a great Halloween!

Summer Fun 2007

Oregon Coast - Summer Vacation 2007

Newest Addition

Elijah "Eli" Crosby just came to our family in August. He is a toy fox terrior. This little guy is a bundle of joy for sure! He loves to fetch, chase the kids around the house, and bark at the neighbor dogs. He thinks he's ones of the kids, wanting to be held, fighting for attention, etc. Big baby =)

Armor of God FHE

Michael sure had a fun time with this one! Ephesians 6:11-17. The cardboard sword was a big hit, but the poor thing only lasted about 10 minutes.

Elizabeth's 1st Birthday!

Elizabeth is currently 28 inches long (in the 22 %) and 18 lbs (in the 7 %). She doesn't look that skinny to me, and boy can she pack it away! This girl can seriously eat more than I can.

October 16, 2007 Elizabeth turned 1!!! What a messy baby! I think she ate every crumb of that slab of cake we gave her. Good eaten.
