We forgot our camera through most of our holiday bashing unfortunately, but here is the kids on Christmas morning opening some of there gifts and some other fun photos. We also went to Great Grandpa Jack's in Sultan on Christmas Eve with my extended family (aunt, uncles, cousins). And then Christmas day, after our own family celebration, my immediate family (brothers, sisters, their kids, and mom and dad) all came and had Christmas Linner (or is that Dunch) at our house. A great holiday indeed! I think my favorite part was the traditional "Christmas program" we do each Christmas Eve with the extended family. Anyone who wants to sing a song, play an instrument, read a poem, read from the scriptures, etc. does so and it makes for a beautiful and memorable time. The performance that spoke to my soul the most was when my aunt and uncle and their 5 children acted out the journey of the wise men to the baby Jesus and read the account from the Bible. And at the end my aunt who was narrating invited us to think of what gift we would give the Christ Child if we were there at the time of His birth. I guess they do this each year as a family tradition and discuss together what they would each give Him each year. I appreciated that invitation. It's very difficult to focus on the Savior when there are so many presents to buy, decorations to put up, cards to send out. I think their family tradition is an inspiring one that helps one stop and remember, and worship. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a great New Year!!!
